Team Larry

Larry Newman was an energetic and fit 81 year old living a full life with his wife of 56 years and his family. In 2022, he successfully battled prostate cancer and received a clean bill of health. However, in September 2023, a spot was found on his lung during a non-related chest scan. While surprising as he was never a smoker, a late biopsy determined that the lesion was lung cancer that had already metastasized to his lymph nodes. A treatment plan combining aggressive chemotherapy, radiation, and immunotherapy was developed and the doctors were hopeful that it would be successful. However, the start of his treatment was delayed as Larry’s physicians waited to gain more specific details about the cancer. By the time Larry had began treatment, the cancer had spread significantly throughout his body and his treatment was unable to catch up. Larry tragically passed away on November 22nd, 2023.
